Memorial Day Reverence and Gratitude

I'm grateful for my American heritage. Real people died for my freedom for holidays, freedom of expression (within safe and civil parameters), and the rights to primary and secondary education.

May the dreamers dream and live. May children and refugees be taken in and allowed to work. May there be an increase in compassionate allowances as if those children were our own.

It was not that long ago when two of my ancestors came over and proved themselves.
